GREETINGS

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to welcome you to the 15th Topical Workshop on Heterostructure Microelectronics (TWHM 2024). The workshop will be conducted entirely through face-to-face presentations. This biannual workshop has been held in Japan since 1994 and has provided valuable opportunities for discussion and communication between researchers and related members in the society of heterostructure microelectronics. TWHM covers various aspects of electron devices based on semiconductor heterostructures, including material characterization, device physics, process technology, circuit design, and system applications.

The workshop consists of about 10 technical sessions selected from latest topics, including wide bandgap MOS/MIS FETs technologies, GaN related devices and their technologies and estimations, THz and mm-wave device technologies, fabrications, and applications, and InP related devices. Following the plenary session, about 20 invited papers and 50 contributed papers will be presented.

SLOGAN

Especially, we hold up “Experienced leaders meet young talents!”, “Passing down TWHM traditions from the old to the new!”, “Connect good points of TWHM to the next!” as slogans in this TWHM 2024. You are welcome to express not only your success in the present but also difficulty in the past. You are welcome to be frank to express your spirit to proceed research and development. We wish THWM 2024 will be a tremendous opportunity of identification with each other as the past every TWHM was. Please do not hesitate if you will be a fresher for this workshop. An unexpected chance will start with "Nice to meet you!".
