In
the future ubiquitous informational society, information-processing communication
systems should be human- and environment-friendly in such a way that they
allow anyone to access any desired information, any time, anywhere, easily
and immediately at ultra-low energy consumption and without causing any serious
environmental problems.
The objective of this Research Group is to create human- and environment-friendly
information processing and communication systems by exploiting quantum devices
and novel circuits and system architectures. Efforts are being made to design
and characterize millimeter-wave/THz-wave circuits incorporating ultrafast
quantum devices, electromagnetic periodic structures, and artificial meta-materials.
The application of these circuits to wireless communication and optical communication
systems is also being investigated. |
