RCIQE History

■Research Center for Interface Quantum Electronics

April 12, 1991 Founded as an Intra-University Research/Education Center of Excellence. The former RCIQE comprised three Research Areas (Formation of Quantum Structures, Integrated Quantum Functional Devices, and Quantum Interface Science).
June, 1992 - March, 1995 「Research Area for Quantum Materials Engineering, endowed by Hitachi Co. Ltd., was set up.
August, 1994 Completion of the RCIQE Laboratory Building

 

■Research Center for Integrated Quantum Electronics

April 1, 2001 Reorganized as Research Center for Integrated Quantum Electronics. The present RCIQE comprises four Research Areas (Quantum Crystal Photonics, Quantum Intelligent Devices, Integrated Quantum Systems, and Quantum Integrated Processing).
April 1, 2004 Since the founding of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, the RCIQE staff concurrently hold positions in the Research Group of Quantum Electronics and Informatics (a cooperative chair), Division of Informatics for Electronics.
April 1, 2019 The name of research area has been changed as follows.
